The Memorial Hospital EMS division is an Advanced Life Support (ALS) service. We provide ambulance service 24/7, 365 days/year coverage.
We respond to an area covering 4,754 square miles in northwest Colorado. The topography includes high desert terrain to mountains and river valleys.
The town of Craig sits at 6,493 ft., and has a population of 10,000.
Primary industries in the area are ranching, oil and gas, coal mining and recreational tourism.
TMH EMS has 3 4-wheel-drive, Type 1 ambulances. The newest to the fleet is a 2015 Ford F-350 North Star.
All of our trucks are staffed and equipped to provide advanced life support capability.
TMH EMS provides quarterly training sessions currently for the community. The 2016 schedule of all training will be posted soon.
Our EMS staff and Emergency Department staff work closely together to provide a continuum of care from the field to the emergency department. When not answering 9-1-1 calls, our teams work in the emergency department to help provide our patients with quality patient-centered care. We are dedicated to living up to our C.H.O.I.C.E values of Compassion, Humility, Ownership, Integrity, Commitment, and Excellence.
Dr. Jeff Womble is the medical director for the TMH EMS Department.
