Quality Management

The Memorial Hospital Quality Services Department engages in all services provided by the hospital to bring the best quality care possible to those we serve. An interdisciplinary approach is used to identify areas for improvement that include the application of industry standards, patient satisfaction information and overall experience.
The Memorial Hospital has been accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Hospitals and Healthcare Organizations since 1971. Certification through compliance with Joint Commission standards sets one of the highest levels of quality care for patients.

The Memorial Hospital participates in “Get With The Guidelines’ Program through The American Heart Association. This provides additional standards for care of coronary artery disease, heart attacks, heart failure and pneumonia. As an active member of the Colorado Stroke Alliance, pre-hospital and emergency care has been streamlined and integrated into other advanced care systems for timely and advanced care for victims of stroke. Patient safety is a principle of care embedded in the decision making process.

The work of the Quality Services Department is accomplished through implementation of proactive exploration of all possibilities. This exploration process uses data, education, process improvement strategies and benchmarking.
