The Memorial Hospital Foundation's main mission is to cultivate relationships and partnerships within our community to generate financial and related resources to enhance the hospital's capacity to provide quality healthcare.
The Memorial Hospital Foundation was founded in 2002 to support and improve rural healthcare needs of the community. Since conception, the Foundation’s focus was to procure financial resources to build a new healthcare facility for Moffat County. The Foundation is a very active 11-member board of directors committed to the continued financial support to TMH. The Foundation continues to collect and administer pledges committed during the 2002 and 2005 capital campaigns. Most pledges were a five-year commitment and the Foundation expects donors to complete their pledges by 2011. In addition to managing the pledges committed during the campaign, the Foundation continues to emphasize grant writing and outside funding to supplement Foundation funding. The Foundation will continue philanthropy with future donors and focus on granting opportunities in equipment and other healthcare needs.
The Memorial Hospital Foundation's major accomplishments include a successful $1.2 million dollar capital campaign in 2005 for a new healthcare facility. To express our thanks, a “Donor Recognition Wall” is displayed in the new hospital’s lobby to recognize the generous contributions that are helping us build a healthier community. Because of the community capital campaign, the Foundation was eligible for funding opportunities that resulted in obtaining the following capital grants for the new facility:
The Memorial Hospital Foundation takes pride in wisely investing your dollars not only in the new hospital building, but also in the equipment that will help to provide the best diagnostics available to patients in our community. To date, your dollars have helped our community hospital in the following ways. In 2008, the Foundation transferred $750,000 to TMH in support of the new building loan. In 2009, the Foundation transferred $330,000 to TMH and funded the state-of-the-art digital mammography machine.

There are many ways to contribute to the Foundation, and all donations qualify for a charitable income tax deduction and Colorado Enterprise Zone tax credit.
Memorial donations are designed to remember loved ones. Honorary gifts can be a distinctive way of recognizing someone during any of life's milestones. You may contribute to a memorial gift to the Foundation's general fund, or to a restricted fund to specify how the gift will be spent.
Future undesignated donations received will go into the Foundation’s general fund to provide for additional or replacement equipment and other healthcare needs necessary to enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide quality healthcare.
Donor Wall levels of giving are as follows:
